File Type/ Specs
PDF/X-1a:2001 is the accepted format. All color images and files are to be supplied in Working CMYK U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2 (and color space with a tonal area coverage (TAC) not to exceed 280% for the darkest area of an image. Graphics, type, and line art should make up CMYK. We DO NOT accept PMS or spot colors.
Please set TIFF and EPS to the following minimum resolution specs:
Lineart (Bitmap) Images: 1200 ppi
Color/Grayscale images: 300 ppi
Trim size is 8.375 x 10.875". No content is to be within 1/4" of trim size. All fonts and graphics must be embedded or included with the files and conform to the specs provided for minimum image resolution.

*Ads submitted after the deadlines stated above may not run until the following month. For emergencies or extensions please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org at your earliest convenience. Make sure full page ads with bleeds show crop marks and bleeds, and make sure important information is at least 1/4 inch away from trim line (crop line.)
PLEASE NOTE: Due to printing deadlines, last-minute changes or additions may not be honored. SOCO will do its best to accomodate clients.
SOCO retains the copyrights to ads produced in-house unless otherwise discussed with client and a mutual agreement has been made.

In order for SOCO magazine to continue to grow its specialized readership, while protecting is brand and image, the following rules regarding advertising copy and placement will apply to all clients of the magazine as of this date.
SOCO magazine reserves the right to reject any advertising which conflicts with the quality or brand identification of the publication. The magazine will not publish ads which; are designed to resemble a coupon, indicate a special savings--by presenting an ad or tearing an ad out of out the pages,or part of a page, which must then be presented to a business.
No ad may specifically target a SOCO reader, which would require them to make any type of response in order to receive special remuneration, i.e., mention this ad, request a discount, or get extra savings by mentioning SOCO magazine.
Any discounts within an ad either in dollars, cents, or percentages, cannot be published in a font any larger than, 62 pts. in a full page format, 42 pts. in a half page format, 32 pts. in a quarter page, and 22pts. in a sixth page format.
